Leacock Presbyterian Church in Paradise and First Presbyterian Church in Strasburg, announce Lenten Gatherings. This year the two churches are extending welcomes to each other’s congregations and to those congregations in their communities for these respective Lenten gatherings.. Leacock will offer a 6:00 p.m. evening Lenten gathering beginning on Tuesdays from March 11 through April 8, by having a light meal of soup and bread and a series of reflections of the place of the meal in Jesus’ ministry, culminating in an examination of the Last Supper..First Presbyterian Church of Strasburg, will host a twelve-noon Lenten gathering, beginning on Wednesdays from March 5 – Ash Wednesday – through April 9 by offering a meal with a brief worship service, led each week by one of the five participating Strasburg Churches’ ministerium..Both Leacock Presbyterian Church and 1st Presbyterian Church hope that by offering two gatherings, time for reflection during Lent will be made available both during the day and in the evening.
