The 34th Annual Paradise Crop Walk will be held on Sunday, October 18th. Registration is at 1 p.m. at Leacock Presbyterian Church, 3181 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise and the Crop Walk will begin at 1:30 p.m.! Participants are asked to solicit sponsors and hand in their donations when registering. Crop Walk literature and donation envelopes are available @ most of the area churches – or just come with your donations and walk on the 18th – the Paradise Crop Walk folks will handle the paperwork.
There is a choice of a 3-mile route or a 5-mile route for walking or biking. For the 3-mile walk, Drinks, Apples and Candy will be available near the Covered Bridge on N. Belmont Road – restrooms will be open at the Paradise Tw’p. Park. For the 5-mile walk/bike, a refreshment stop and restrooms, will be at the Harvest Drive Family Motel on Harvest Drive.
Sponsored nationally, by Church World Services, the event has a goal of stamping out hunger throughout the World, the United States and the Paradise Area. Twenty-five percent of the monies raised will go to the Paradise Food Bank, which is administered by the Paradise Factory.
The Paradise Crop Walk is organized by a number of the Paradise Area Churches. Donations can be sent by mail by anyone wishing to contribute to the Paradise Crop Walk. So come on over to Paradise on the 18th and Walk the Walk – that’s rain or shine.

Inclement Weather
When on unsafe conditions exist, Sunday morning worship will be cancelled. The decision to close will be made by the available members from the following: Pastor, Clerk of Session, Trustee President. The decision will be communicated by 7:00 AM to mass media, the church website, and the church answering machine. Additionally, the pastor will send a group e-mail if services are cancelled.
